From building a winter fort at Chicago Children’s Museum to learning about the evolution of Gospel Music at the DuSable Museum of African American History, here are museum free days for Wednesday, January 24 to Sunday, January 29.

Adler Planetarium: Free to Illinois residents only, January 25 and 26.

Art Institute of Chicago: Free general admission for Illinois residents only, every weekday in January. The Ryan Education Center is always free to all families. The Institute is free for kids ages 13 and under.

Clarke House, Glessner House and Charnley-Perskey House: Free tours of these historic homes are offered on Wednesdays to a set number of visitors on a first come, first served basis. Click here for more information.

Chicago Children’s Museum: Free for all visitors every Thursday, 5-8 pm.

DuSable Museum of African American History: Free to Illinois residents only, January 29.

Field Museum of Natural History: Free to Illinois residents only, January 26-27

Museum of Science and Industry: Free general admission for Illinois residents only, January 25-27.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum: Free general admission for Illinois residents only, February 26.

 

Shedd Aquarium: Free general admission for Illinois residents only, January 27-28, 30.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

From the Garfield Park Conservatory to the Lincoln Park Zoo, enjoy Chicago’s Always Free museums and attractions. These attractions are free to all visitors.
